CARTA ORGANISASI PERSATUAN KEBAJIKAN MAHASISWA NEGERI JOHOR (PERKASA JOHOR UPM) 2025/2026

INTRODUCTION

The Johor State Students Welfare Association (PERKASA JOHOR UPM) was established to unite students who were born in the state of Johor and are currently pursuing their studies at Universiti Putra Malaysia. The association was formed with the aim of safeguarding the welfare of its members, whether in terms of challenges they face or the needs they require.

The presence of PERKASA JOHOR aims to ensure that Johor-born students do not navigate their university life on their own, especially as many of them are far from their families. In general, this association serves as a liaison not only with the Student Affairs Division (BHEP) but also with entities of the Johor State Government.

Since the 2020/2021 session, PERKASA JOHOR UPM has recorded the highest number of programs organized, despite being conducted entirely online. A total of 11 programs were successfully organized, providing significant benefits not only to Johor-born students but also to the wider UPM student community. PERKASA JOHOR UPM also acts as a platform for student voices in conveying issues and proposed improvements to the Johor State Government entities.

OBJECTIVES

To safeguard the welfare of Johor-born students at UPM.
To unite Johor-born students who are studying at UPM.
To update the database of Johor-born students who are studying at UPM.
To serve as an intermediary between Johor-born students and the Johor Education Foundation as well as relevant Johor State Government organizations involved in student development.

“To elevate the name of PERKASA JOHOR at the university level through high-impact programs, to nurture students as pioneers in safeguarding members’ welfare, and to develop students into highly competent leaders.”

“To unite students born in the state of Johor with the purpose of safeguarding their welfare while strengthening relationships among Johor-born students.”
“To develop the leadership talents of Johor-born students through the organization of high-impact programs that deliver meaningful benefits.”
“To serve as a bridge between Johor-born students and Johor State Government entities in disseminating the latest information and updates.”
