Student Welfare Fund: i. The Student Welfare Fund is created to alleviate the burden on UPM students facing welfare and emergency issues. The types of assistance provided include: a) Emergency situations b) Tuition fees c) Personal allowances d) Accidents/Illnesses e) Death contributions for students/parents f) Grocery expenses/Toll (for student funeral management) g) Funeral arrangements for students h) Other disasters Student Protection Fund: ii. All undergraduate and graduate students at UPM are covered by the Student Protection Fund. Types of claims that can be made include: a) Accident claims b) Medical expenses claims c) Chronic illness claims d) Disability e) Student death benefits f) Hospital ward allowances iii.
