INTRODUCTION

The Islamic Student Association of Universiti Putra Malaysia (PMIUPM) was established in 1975 as soon as the University and University College Act (AUKU amended 1975) came into effect. PMIUPM was established because it wanted to create an Islamic practice in this green campus.

    Since it was registered, PMIUPM has been active specifically in matters of Islamic interest. Each program that is organized aims to create an Islamic atmosphere and apply spiritual elements to each individual in the campus of UPM. The main goal of PMIUPM is to maintain the purity of Islam as Ad-din at the UPM campus.

     The principles and goals are sourced from Al-Quran and Al-Sunnah which are emanation from the statement of the martyrdom of Lailahaillallah Muhammadur Rasulullah, in an effort to produce  Muslims who are able to be the good example for the campus community in all matters, even in the aspects of culture and sports, at the level students, nor the administration.

     PMIUPM offers 6 Inspire packages to its members namely Inspire Daie, Inspire Leader, Inspire Media, Inspire Sport, Inspire Bizz and Inspire Helwani under the respective exco portfolios.

 

 

 

OBJECTIVE

• Maintain the purity of Islam.
• Calling for good, commanding what is good and forbidding evil.
• Develop and maintain the Islamic way of life and culture as well as the welfare of the members of the association.
• Strengthening the bonds of brotherhood between members of the association.
• Cultivate and strengthen the spirit of association between members of this association with non-Muslim students at this University.
• Contribute various fields of knowledge to the general public.
