KELAB PENGGIAT TEATER SEJAGAT UPM (PENTAS)

INTRODUCTION

The Universiti Putra Malaysia Universal Theatre Enthusiasts Club (PENTAS) is an academically oriented club focusing on theatre performing arts. It covers all aspects of theatre, including directing, acting, technical production, and more. With the motto “The Stage Art of Life”, this club aims to discover the hidden talents of UPM students and nurture them to become successful individuals who contribute to the nation.

OBJECTIVES OF THE UNIVERSAL THEATRE ENTHUSIASTS CLUB UPM (PENTAS)

• To showcase theatre performance arts as one of the activities on campus, adding vibrancy through artistic initiatives in line with the role of higher education institutions as guardians of cultural heritage.

• To cultivate practical socio-cultural values such as cooperation, tolerance, and consensus among students from diverse backgrounds, while building strong team spirit.

• To foster students’ interest in theatre through exposure and talent development, as well as to uncover new talents among students in the field of theatre.
