KUALA LUMPUR, 2 May 2026 – A total of 84 student representatives from Universiti Putra Malaysia demonstrated strong commitment in ensuring the success of the Kongres Pendidikan Bumiputera 2026. The presence of the student delegation reflected the dynamic voice of university students in shaping the future direction of national education, particularly in strengthening the Bumiputera agenda.

Student participation in this prestigious congress was further reinforced by the attendance of the university’s top leadership, who expressed full support for student aspirations. Also present with the delegation were Jailani Johari, Chairman of the UPM Board of Directors; Ahmad Farhan Mohd Sadullah, Vice Chancellor of UPM; and the Deputy Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs & Alumni UPM.

The presence of the Chairman of the Board of Directors and the Vice Chancellor demonstrated the close synergy between the university management and students. It reflected UPM’s unwavering commitment to ensuring that the voices and input of the campus community are considered in the formulation of a more inclusive and competitive national education policy.

The group of 84 student representatives, comprising UPM student leaders, played an active role throughout the congress through:

• Cluster Discussions: Directly participating in key cluster discussions focusing on talent empowerment, educational sustainability, and the Bumiputera economy.
• Championing UPM’s Vision: Highlighting innovative ideas related to agricultural technology, food security, and digital skills—aligned with UPM’s expertise—as essential elements for the future curriculum.
• Resolution Development: Contributing ideas towards eight key resolutions submitted to the nation’s leadership as strategic guidance for Bumiputera education beyond 2026.

The strong and distinguished presence of the 84 student representatives alongside UPM’s top leadership at KPB 2026 symbolised a spirit of “Collective Commitment.” This collaboration ensured that the voices of UPM students were not only heard but also became part of the broader framework in elevating the standard and dignity of Bumiputera education on the global stage.
