TERENGGANU & JOHOR, June 10 & 13, 2024 – The Student Union Management Committee (JPKM) of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) is making significant strides forward by forming a strategic alliance with Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT) and Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM), involving a total of 30 participants.
This strategic alliance aims to exchange ideas and share the implementation of student empowerment agendas, particularly between the Student Affairs Division, MPP, and JPKM UPM. Student empowerment is a key agenda of the Ministry of Higher Education, in line with governmental changes, to enhance graduate employability and better prepare students for the workforce.
Such exchanges can further foster professionalism among universities under the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE). Through this program, the Student Union Management Committee (JPKM) of Universiti Putra Malaysia can gain valuable experience and knowledge in managing student activity approvals, particularly in improving application processes through developed systems or applications. It is hoped that programs like this will continue with future generations of the Student Union to promote continuous learning.
Attending the program were UPM officers, including Mr. Khairul Hafiz Mohammad, Head of the Leadership and Identity Section, section staff members Mrs. Khairul Ziana Kinainah and Mrs. Jamrah Mat Jusoh, as well as an officer from the UPM Information and Communication Development Center, Mr. Saiful Ramadzan.
