Sepang, 20 April 2025 – A total of 97 students from five public universities in the Central Zone participated in the Malaysia Madani Nationalism Course (National Students) organized by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) Series 2/2025, which was held over three days from 18 to 20 April 2025 at the National Training Centre (PLK) Tanjung Rhu, Sepang.

The universities involved in this course were Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Universiti Malaya (UM), International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), and National Defence University of Malaysia (UPNM).

This course is an initiative by MOHE, in collaboration with the Student Affairs Department (HEP) of the participating universities and the National Training Centre, aimed at strengthening students’ understanding of the fundamentals of Malaysian nationhood within the Malaysia Madani framework. Among the main objectives of the program are to instill patriotism, enhance identity and character, and develop students who are competitive, ethical, and conscious of national issues.

Throughout the course, participants engaged in a variety of activities, including nationhood lectures, team-based physical activities, group discussions, leadership simulation activities, and sessions with nationhood alumni who shared experiences and inspiration.

This course is part of MOHE’s continuous efforts to support the holistic development of students' intellectual, emotional, spiritual, and physical aspects — in line with the Malaysia Madani concept outlined by the government.

The next series is expected to continue in other zones across the country to give more students the opportunity to participate and benefit from this high-impact program.
