INTER-SECTION POETRY RECITATION COMPETITION
July 10, Serdang – To foster a spirit of patriotism, promote reading campaigns, and serve as a preliminary selection for the university-level poetry recitation competition at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), the Student Affairs Division and the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Student Affairs and Alumni (TNC HEPA) organized an Inter-Section Poetry Recitation Competition. This event involved participants from both BHEP and the TNC HEPA Office.
A total of eight participants took part in the competition, each delivering their poetry recitations with enthusiasm and skill. The event aimed to enhance poetry recitation skills among staff and create a vibrant and creative atmosphere in the workplace.
The champion of this competition was Nik Mohamad Ridhwan Bin Nik Nasrudin, who recited the poem titled "Mengenang Jasa." His performance captivated the judges and demonstrated excellent recitation skills and a deep understanding of the poem.
As the winner, Nik Mohamad Ridhwan will represent the Student Affairs Division and the TNC HEPA Office in the upcoming UPM Reading Corner Evaluation and subsequently advance to the UPM-level poetry recitation competition. This opportunity allows him to showcase his talent and the effort invested in this competition, as well as to support the reading campaign and promote a culture of the arts within the university community.
The competition not only served as a platform to refine poetry recitation skills but also as an initiative to strengthen relationships and collaboration between staff from both departments. The organizers hope that this competition will continue as an annual event and inspire more staff to participate in cultural and artistic activities in the future.
It is hoped that the enthusiasm and dedication demonstrated by all participants will encourage more activities that support and promote reading culture and the arts within the university. This competition proves that through poetry recitation, we can build a profound appreciation for cultural heritage and literature.
