Putrajaya, 1 October 2025 – The National Student Icon Awards 2025, organized by the Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE), was held with great splendour at Hotel Marriot Putrajaya. The prestigious event was graced by the presence of YB Dato’ Seri Diraja Dr. Zambry Abd Kadir, Minister of Higher Education, as the guest of honour.

One of the most remarkable highlights was when Muhammad Hafizd bin Shahril Izwan, a student from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), was announced as the recipient of the National Student Entrepreneur Award 2025. This recognition was bestowed upon him for his outstanding contributions to entrepreneurship at the student level, driven by his dedication, perseverance, and remarkable achievements in developing innovative and creative business ventures.

The award presentation was officiated by the Director-General of Higher Education, YBhg. Datuk Professor Dr. Azlinda Azman, who also presented him with a cash prize, mobility grant, trophy, and certificate of appreciation. This achievement not only reflects individual excellence but also brings national recognition to UPM.

According to the organizers, the award symbolizes students’ commitment to strengthening the culture of entrepreneurship, in line with MoHE’s aspirations to produce competitive, innovative graduates capable of becoming future leaders.
