769 new ASPutra UPM students take the New Student Pledge

 

SERDANG, August 1 – A total of 769 new students of the Agricultural Science Foundation Program, Science Foundation Center (ASPutra), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) for the 2024/2025 academic session took their pledge at the Ceremony with the Vice-Chancellor and New Student Pledge.

The Vice-Chancellor of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Dato’ Prof. Dr. Ahmad Farhan Mohd Sadullah, advised all new students to be grateful and aware of their selection from among thousands of applicants in Malaysia.

“Now that opportunities and space have been opened up as widely as possible, take bold steps and always strive to give your best to achieve success that is worthy of your efforts and endeavors.

“My hope is that all students can make the most of every opportunity and chance at ASPutra over the year. This effort is crucial to enhance the legacy of excellence in line with UPM’s motto, ‘Knowledge and Service’,” he said.

Previously, the new ASPutra students registered on July 25 at Tan Sri Aishah Ghani College (KTAG).

Meanwhile, the director of ASPutra, Associate Prof. Dr. Marina Mohd Top @ Mohd. Tah, stated that ASPutra is the only public university focusing on higher education in the field of agriculture.

“The students of the Agricultural Science Foundation Program for the 2024/2025 intake are the 20th group to join the foundation program at UPM and are traditionally known by the nickname ASPer20,”- The Vice-Chancellor of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM)
