Ziarah Kasih UPM is an initiative that reflects Universiti Putra Malaysia’s (UPM) commitment to the welfare, well-being and future of its students and the surrounding community. The initiative adopts a community outreach approach by directly engaging with individuals and families who require attention, support and assistance.

More than just a visit, Ziarah Kasih carries a deeper meaning through the efforts to listen, understand and assist. The presence of UPM representatives at the homes of beneficiaries provides an opportunity to better understand the circumstances they face, particularly in terms of welfare, education and their daily lives.

In the context of higher education, Ziarah Kasih serves as a form of support for prospective and current students who may be facing various challenges. The care demonstrated through these visits and the provision of assistance can help ease the burden on families while inspiring young individuals to remain determined in pursuing their educational aspirations.

This initiative also highlights UPM’s role as a university that not only emphasises academic excellence but also places importance on human development and community well-being.
