KHATAM AL-QURAN CEREMONY

Oleh : Zarita Ridzwan

Serdang, March 21, 2025 – The Student Affairs Division (BHEP) organized the Al-Quran Khatam Ceremony in conjunction with the end of the holy month of Ramadan as an initiative to seek blessings and forgiveness from Allah SWT. This meaningful event was held at the BHEP Lobby at 6:00 PM and received overwhelming participation from staff, their families, and representatives from the Student Representative Council (MPP).

The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah as an opening, followed by the Khatam Al-Quran session led by Mr. Nik Mohamad Ridhwan Nik Nasrudin, along with participants who had completed their scheduled recitations throughout Ramadan. This collective recitation not only strengthened the participants' love for the Holy Quran but also reinforced their bonds with colleagues and family members.

Beyond its religious significance, the event served as a platform to cultivate a sense of togetherness and strengthen relationships within the BHEP community. The large number of attendees reflected unity and solidarity in embracing Ramadan as a blessed month. Additionally, the event was further enriched with a brief 'tazkirah' (religious talk) that provided spiritual insights.

The serene and solemn atmosphere of the event clearly demonstrated its success in instilling religious values among staff and students. The staff expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to complete this act of worship in a harmonious and reflective environment. The positive reception from all participants affirmed the importance of such programs and the need for their continuation in the future.

BHEP hopes that this event will become an annual tradition to strengthen Islamic values within the university community. With continuous support, this program is expected to inspire more people to engage deeply with the Quran and incorporate its teachings into their daily lives. Furthermore, it is hoped that this initiative will encourage more members of the campus community to remain steadfast in reading, understanding, and embracing the noble values contained within the Quran.
