Putra Munajat: Yasin And Tahlil Reading Program With UPM Student Delegation Ceremony 2019/2020

SERDANG, 30 Jan – UPM Student Delegation Ceremony 2019/2020 had cooperated with the UPM College Delegation Ceremony and Student Affairs Division (BHEP) in organizing yaasin recitation programme and tahlil in conjunction of the final examination. Among the guests were Prof Dr. Arifin Abdu, UPM Deputy Vice Chancellor (Student Affairs and Alumni) and Prof. Madya Dr. Amini Amir Abdullah, Chairman of the Principal of the Residential College of UPM. This programme was also attended by Ustaz Dr. Mohd Sukki Othman, Lecturer of the Faculty of Modern Language and Communication to deliver a talk. This programme was being accomplished by Khairul Asyraf as a qari in leading the recitation of yasin and tahlil started at 7.45 pm to 9.40 pm online via Youtube Live MPP UPM OFFICIAL.

Majlis Putra Munajat is also interspersed with the sharing tips in tackling the final exams such as praying, reading surah Al-Waqiah after the dawn prayers (for muslims), not leaving the five daily prayers and making careful preparations. This programme was divided into 5 slots; recitation of yasin and tahlil, prayers and speech by YDP MPP UPM Alif Akmal, speech by UPM Chairman of the Principal of the Residential College, speech by. Prof. Dr. Arifin Abdu and a talk from Ustaz Dr. Mohd Sukki.

UPM Deputy Vice Chancellor (Student Affairs and Alumni) Prof Dr. Arifin Abdu asserted that intention was very important for students in furthering their studies at Universiti Putra Malaysia because it is jihad for oneself, family, university, religion, race and country. He added that students are leaders in the future and will fully supports to such spiritual programs. The key is students need to get blessing from parents, family members and lectures to obtain excellent results.

Dr. Amini Amir Abdullah also gave some tips and advice to the students in facing the final exam. Among the tips are to study hard, have great motivation, making adequate preparation and ask for blessings from both parents, and lecturers besides effort, prayer and ‘tawakal’.

Talk shared by Ustaz Dr. Mohd Sukki entitled Preparation for the Final Examination gives an advice on the methods that need to be done by students before sitting for the final examination. He also stated that focusing in class is very important in order to achieve a success learning process.

This programme had received a very encouraging response among the UPM students and was successfully reached almost 850 views.
