21st October 2020- YBhg. Prof. Dr. Mohd Roslan Sulaiman, Vice Chancellor of UPM together with the Deputy Vice Chancellor of Students’ Affairs and Alumni (HEPA) UPM, YBhg. Prof. Dr. Arifin Abdu have completed the face shield symbolic handover ceremony to Tawau Hospital, which was represented by Dr. Pang Chun Shong. The online ceremony took place on the afternoon, the Putra Gallery situated in Canselori Putra Building, UPM.

The provision was to facilitate the health officers and staffs placed in Tawau Hospital, as the frontliners in battling the rising Covid-19 battle in Sabah.

The programme that obtained the University Management’s utmost support started on 17th October 2020, few days after the announcement to enforce Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO).

A total of 100 volunteers, led by Ms. Victoria Nacgee, were involved in the production of 1000 face shield units within five days.

Congratulations and well done to all the volunteers that strived to successfully complete this CSR programme and it is hoped that through this aid, we can lessen the the burden weighed by our frontliners that are fighting the course to save our nation. #UPMPRIHATIN #weloveupm #kitajagakita
