[30/06/2020] The Process of Welcoming Students' Return Went Well

June 30th 2020, UPM Serdang – The process of managing the return of students to their respective residential college(s) was carried out at PKKSSAS Universiti Putra Malaysia. The execution of this process was in par with the press statement released by the Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE) on the 27th May 2020, detailing on the management of academic activities in campuses during the post movement control order (MCO) period. This was based on the results of the special meeting of ministers, discussing on the implementation of MCO and exceptions provided the students within the five (5) needy categories. A total of 5771 students were identified to be in the approved five (5) categories and obtained the approval/ permission from the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic & International) to return to campus for their academic purposes

The process was conducted for three (3) days starting on the 28th till 30th June 2020, managed by the Students’ Affair Division with the support from the residential colleges’ management, University Health Center, University Security Division, Students Representative Council, College Representative Council and many related entities. 1094 students (20.9%) attended the health screening and registration process before acquiring the Permission Sheet to enter their residential college. Luggage sanitation was then carried out at the respective colleges, before students could enter their rooms.
