June 23rd 2020, UPM Serdang – In conjunction with the announcement made by the Honorable Prime Minister regarding the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) commenced on June 10th 2020 onwards, a total of 6,215 students were allowed to collect their belongings and personal vehicle from the campus, starting from 15th till 19th June 2020. The execution of the process was carried out by the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Students Affair and Alumni) Office, assisted by the Security Division and closely helped by 25 UPM Students’ Representative Council members. Y. Bhg. Profesor Dr. Mohd. Roslan bin Sulaiman, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Students Affair and Alumni) himself, has joined the ground till the last day to ensure the efficiency of the devised procedures. In order to ease students’ movement to their respective residential colleges, Students’ Affairs Division has provided transportation services using MPVs and buses, from the main parking at Padang Kawad, UPM till the residential college(s).

The main aim of the process is to ensure that students could continue their learning activities, with the necessary materials, even from their homes. Besides, students can also collect their vehicles that have been left at college’s parking lots due to the Movement Control Order (MCO) that was announced on 18th March 2020. The processes were carried out according to the Stand of Procedures (SOP) outlined by the Government of Malaysia.

The students benefited from the process thanked and expressed their gratitude especially to the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Students Affair and Alumni) Office and the UPM Students’ Representative Council members for their unconditional concerns and support throughout the event.
