50 Hours without Stop

Langkawi, April 26 - Over 20 UPM students have joined the ULTRON MBOR Langkawi Ride 2019 and created a history of putting UPM in Malaysia Book Of Records for a 50-hour event of uninterrupted electrified bike with a total distance of 1515 kilometers.

In addition to UPM students, the program also involved over 500 participants from around Langkawi and Perlis. All of these participants were distributed to 70 slot boats for 20 km. Each slot consists of 5 participants and this is done non-stop for 3 days.

In addition, this is Ybhg. Prof. Dr. Mohd Roslan Sulaiman, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Student Affairs and Alumni with the final finish to complete the ULTRON MBOR. He said UPM is committed to this program as it is in line with YAB Prime Minister of Malaysia's wish to get Langkawi free of carbon and healthy people by 2020.

The closing session of the program was completed by YB Johari Bulat, ADUN Ayer Hangat. The implementation of the program also involves the National Sports Council of Malaysia as a Joint Organizer, in collaboration with the Langkawi Member of Parliament Office, Kuah State ADUN, LADA, TWI Langkawi Gerek Club, PDRM and Bomba.
