Engine oil or also referred to as lubricating oil is a function of launching the movements of parts that move inside the engine and reduce friction
Among other functions of engine oil are as follows:
Engine oil keeps your car driving silent and smooth. Engine oil needs to be changed according to the duration of use or the total mileage. In general, semi-synthetic engine oils can be used up to 5,000 km or 3 months, while full synthetic oils can be used up to 10,000 km or 6 months. However, some oil producers have different timeframes.
Do not let the oil in the car engine exceed the prescribed limit as this may leave the dike that will stick and thicken on the inside of the engine. This can cause various other problems and critical damage to the engine. Then it involves a great cost to overhaul.
You can also find out the engine oil gauge or viscosity through an engine oil measurement or better known as "dipstick". Make sure the oil metric is at an adequate level.
You are also recommended to change the oil filter every time you convert the engine oil.
